Story Description
Follow 小北 as she arrives in Beijing with a suitcase and no one she knows — and gradually builds a life through courage, curiosity, and the kindness of those around her. Each story captures small but meaningful moments:

  • Finding her way around an unfamiliar city
  • Making mistakes at work and learning from them
  • Shopping, cooking, and managing daily life alone
  • Building friendships and showing gratitude
  • Discovering that Beijing has become home

Each 320–330 character story is written using controlled vocabulary and natural repetition:

  • Early stories rely on high-frequency Band 1 core words
  • 8–12 new words are introduced per story
  • Previous vocabulary is constantly recycled
  • Learning outcome: smooth transition from word recognition → sentence comprehension → natural reading flow
