第一次看电视
晚上八点，爸爸第一次教我用遥控器打开电视。我一边拿着遥控器一边看屏幕，心里很开心。我问爸爸：“这个频道是什么？”爸爸说：“这是新闻频道，正在播天气预报。”虽然新闻很无聊，但是我想学习中文，所以我还是继续看下去。
天气预报开始了，可是声音太小了，我听不清楚主持人说的话。我拿起遥控器，找到音量按钮，把声音调大了一点。然后我觉得新闻太没意思了，就换到体育频道。那里正在直播一场足球比赛，很好看。妈妈走过来说：“太晚了，明天还要上学，关掉电视吧。”我只好关掉电视，然后去睡觉了。今天真开心！

Māma zǒu guòlái shuō: “Tài wǎn le, míngtiān hái yào shàngxué, guāndiào diànshì ba.” Wǒ zhǐhǎo guāndiào diànshì, ránhòu qù shuìjiào le. Jīntiān zhēn kāixīn!
Turning on the TV for the First Time
At eight o’clock in the evening, my father taught me how to use the remote control to turn on the TV for the first time. I was holding the remote control while looking at the screen, feeling very happy inside. I asked my father, ‘What channel is this?’ My father said, ‘This is the news channel, and it’s broadcasting the weather forecast.’ Although the news was boring, I wanted to learn Chinese, so I continued watching.
The weather forecast started, but the sound was too low, and I couldn’t hear the host clearly. I picked up the remote control, found the volume button, and turned the sound up a little. Then I thought the news was too uninteresting, so I changed to the sports channel. There was a live football match on, which was very exciting. My mother walked over and said, ‘It’s too late, and you have school tomorrow, turn off the TV.’ I had no choice but to turn off the TV and then go to bed. Today was really fun!
